Well, Brett Bailey asked for an update so here it is...
1. Our credit is fixed. Hooray and hallelujah!!! The lawyer we hired called Chase on a few things they did that were slightly ILLEGAL and miraculously they cleaned up our credit report.
2. We are moving to Lumberton, TEXAS to partner with Craig Worsley. Cyrus is so excited to work with someone with values. We are fairly sure Craig doesn't threaten to spank his front desk help.
3. We finished the house and it is on the market. Unfortunately, last month there were over 1000 houses for sale in the county and only 30 sold. We had a family fast today and we are keeping the faith that it will sell.
So that is that. We will head to Texas on July 24 and leave the house for sale. We will probably be apartment dwellers for a while but that's ok. We'll live.
Also, today our washing machine smoked. Tomorrow I am going to the Laundromat.
Oh and Sam cried for his entire swim lesson and Grace spent the entire time trying to jump in.

GREAT update, Annie! Good luck with your move and selling your home. I hope things work out for you guys. Loved the story about getting a lawyer on Chase. Nice work!!
We'll keep you guys in our prayers also that you get your house sold soon!
Those lawyers come in handy once in a while, now don't they? Lumberton? I don't even know where that is, but I picture blowing tumble weeds and maybe a cow with big horns chewing its cud. Hope it exceeds expectations.
Its actually green and humid and hot. Less than an hour from Louisiana (I think) and right in hurricane country. There are lakes and beaches fairly near and Houston (and a temple!) just 2 hours away.
Oh and lawyers are extremely helpful!!! I wish Chase could have been honest so it didn't cost us $500 to get a $66 error cleared up.
Having spent a fair amount of time in Houston, even during the summer, I'll just offer out that its a wee bit different that Oregon, and SF for that matter. Not bad if you like to drink the air you breathe, though. . . :-) Good luck!
i am so excited to move!
